MMN rated this product on 10/05/07 Back in June, 2007, I ordered my wife a “Pinemeadow Nitrix Ladies Complete Golf Set” that beside the point I also threw in “ 52, 56, 60, 64, and the impossible to find 68 degree wedges” for myself. Needless to say I have played more golf this season than ever. My short game came alive from 100 yards in, the yardage labeling is great. In the past I used the feel of 1/2, 1/3, 2/3, 3/4, swing with my only sand-wedge that didn’t have consistent results. Handicap has gone from upper teens to lower teens. I finally shot my first round of 80. The spins, high flop shots I thought were a preserve for the pro’s has taken over my once bread and butter bump and run approaches. I like the circles on the grips, they save me a lot of time on setups. Best $100 ever spent.
Brian Baumgarten reviewed this product on 09/28/07 Bought the 52, 56, 60 and 64 and very happy I did. First let me just say the clubs look great, the oil can like dark finish gives the club a vintage luster as you use them more and more. I love the unique labeling too, it makes the club feel like it was made for me. Second they feel great in my hands, I got them with the Pine Meadows standard grips with the idea that I could just have them regripped if I didnt like them, and well they are better than any of the grips I have ever used. Mostly I really like the circles on the grips, they remind me that the most important part of your swing setup is where your hands fall on the club! Lastly being around a 14 handicap, I wanted to excel my short game. I actually sold my name branded wedges to replace them with these. I did have a PGA professional fit me to the right lie and club length so when I ordered these custom clubs they would be made to tailor my swing. When the clubs came I couldn't believe how great they performed, I am so confident from 100 yards in that I would almost rather land in the bunker now because it would give me an excuse to use my 56 sand wedge! The best part about it is the performance far exceeds the price! I would recommend these to anyone!!!!
Rob D.-Santa Maria reviewed this product on 09/22/07 I bought the 68' wedge and it has been fantastic around the greens!! The ball pops right up and lands softly on the green. Instead of opening your club face like a regular wedge shot, let the club do the work for you..makes life so much easier getting to a reasonable spot close to the flag from off the green to putt it in. I went from shooting low 90 rounds to now shooting low-mid rounds in the 80's since this club cut off mishits that go 2 feet and toe hits flying past the hole...THIS CLUB JUST MAKES LIFE EASIER AROUND THE GREEN and I am all for that!I just shot a 84 the other day and thats only because I missed 6 or 8 short putts(my weakness of course!) BUT I was close enough and there with this club! More putting practice and I will be in the high 70's..the 70's!! whoa! buy the club with the Pinemeadow XJ-P grips if you want to shoot lower scores near the greens..good luck!
